I have to say it was hard AND it was easy. This is what I came up with.
Iced Toffee Coffee ~Dregs
This little mini wall-hanging is improv pieced with mostly Gee's Bend fabrics. I added in the prints for creamy swirls and chocolatey bits. I added a straw too because these yummy drinks just seem to disappear when I put a straw in them.
Quilted with a walking foot and in a swirl with variegated thread from black to beige.
Measures approx. 17 x 17
***Sorry about the photos, I took a bunch early before company came today and now it is dark when I wanted to post and I see my pics are not so hot. Still looks like toffee though to me! yum :)
In other sewing business today....One of my sisters came to visit today. She brought my niece and my great niece and for a time we worked on my latest project - Beads of Courage. We made some bags to hold the beads the children collect while undergoing serious treatments.
Here we finished about 10 of them today so I would say work well done. Labels come from the company for free and you can designate a hospital to receive them. I was aiming for the older boys with my fabric choices. Oh and not to forget my husband and brother in law who helped in melting the cord ends and inserting them. :)
